LED Testing
Efficient and Precise LED Testing: Optomistic Products offers a simple solution for a complex task.
LEDs of the same series can be very different in intensity and color. The correct sensors must be used for each optical test, depending on your application. But which sensors are right for your LED test?

The Task
When planning an optical test for LEDs, engineers are struggling to find the right sensor that meet the parameters tested on an LED. There are also a variety of providers, each of which describes a different method. To decode light intensity and color properties while finding an inexpensive solution is not an easy task, especially if the solution should be as flexible as possible to increase the benefits of the system. In addition, different drivers are used which makes it difficult for software developers to establish a standard.
The Solution
After years of experience in this field, Optomistic Products provides a standardized solution to simplify the task of integrating LEDs into the test system and reduce development time.
First, determine the type of test and select one of the preprogrammed sensors that meets these requirements. The different sensors are divided into categories and usually give an electrical signal as an output (or via USB as a serial interface). This facilitates the integration into the measurement hardware.
As a second step, depending on the particular mechanical requirements of the test adapter or the DUT, choose one of the replaceable fiber optic probes. Due to the possibility of connecting several light probes to the same sensor, the solution is efficient and space-saving. The head of the light probe can also be adapted to the design.
